VTV-2 is not confirmed: Gautham Menon

The news about a sequel to Gautham Menon's STR-Trisha romantic musical Vinnayithandi Varuvaaya, has been making the rounds.

Now Gautham Menon himself has come out with press note on it!

Some in the media even came out with the "story of the sequel" and said that Amy Jackson will play the heroine in the film.

STR himself has been quoted as saying "While I will be playing Karthi again, this time Amy Jackson will play the female lead."

The noted director has issued a clarification through his publicist.

The press statement says: "VTV 2 is not confirmed. Reports about the film starting in November 2011 are not true. I am talking to STR for a project in June 2012. Amy Jackson is not on board the project as yet. The script, the cast and crew have not been finalized. VTV 2 was just an idea we spoke about but I haven't decided as yet if that's what we will be filming."
