Uyir getting ready

The Uyir unit has taken over the high school ground opposite Pachiayappa�s College at Chennai. The hero Srikanth came zooming in his motorcycle, while the heroine Samvritha came driving a car. Eyes met and love bloomed. �This is only a piece of work. Major portion of the film is shot in Ooty. It is a love story with a difference. It has all ingredients needed for a box office hit,� says director Saami.

This is Samvritha�s first film in Tamil. She has done six films in Malayalan, three of them with big stars including Mammootty, Mohanlal and Dileep. She has also acted in three non-commercial films which might fetch her a few awards. �I got some offers in Tamil after Rasigan but I was keen that my launch should be through a good film. When I heard the story of Uyir I thought this film might fetch me a good future,� said the heroine. �It is a good love story with a thriller in it. The hero encounters an obstacle unusual in nature." "We have Pithamagan Sangeetha also� said Srikanth. Joshva Sridhar has scored the music. This is his second film after Kadhal.
