There is no ban on Maddy

The ban over actor Madhavan by the powerful Tamil Film Producer�s Council (TFPC) has turned out to be a non-starter.

Satyajyothi Thyagarajan the president of TFPC told that �There is no such ban on Madhavan to the best of my knowledge. Some producers had expressed their dissatisfaction over his interview in which he blamed us for all the ills in the industry. But since he has denied the so-called interview we should not precipitate the matter�.

In fact as soon as the magazine published the interview, Madhavan sent a letter to Vijaykanth the Nadigar Sangam Chief explaining his position and denying the report. Meanwhile Kalaipuli.S.Thanu also denied the report that he has dropped Maddy from his forthcoming project to be directed by Jeeva.

When contacted Thanu said: �As a producer I felt aggrieved when I read that interview but later Maddy called me up and explained his viewpoint. We have sorted out the issue and will go ahead with the project�.
