Suryah- The Multiple Star!

S.J.Suryah has given himself a new title- �The Multiple Star�! In the title card of Kalvanin Kathali, his name comes like this. One has heard about �Superstar, Mega star, Ultimate star, Supreme Star, Little superstar etc but this is taking it a bit too far.

Well, what Suryah means is that he is a writer, director and actor rolled into one and he wants to hit back at his detractors and other actors including critics and he has done it successfully with Kalvanin Kathali which took a good opening compared to Arya, Arjun and Madhavan films released along with it.

Vijay�s super hit Sivakasi took a net of Rs 11.75 Lakhs in its first week at Sangam in Chennai , while Suryah�s Kalvanin Kathali managed to net Rs 11.40 Lakhs in its opening week at the same theatre. This proves that Suryah has a huge opening among youth and front benchers who loves his kind of lewd comedy.

Now Suryah has proved that he is a saleable hero and has producers to sign him up as a solo hero. And unlike superstar films, Suryah films can be made at low cost which will make the project viable at Rs 5 to 6 Crore. Producers and distributors will stand to gain just by the opening.

Suryah also wants to hit back at the star system especially after Vijay backed out of his Puli project. So watch out for �The Multiple Star�, the all-rounder at box-office.
