Sanjay Dutt free for a month

Sanjay Dutt can breathe easy and not bother about going to jail, at least for another month. According to the actor�s lawyer, due to technical legalities the actor who was sentenced to six years for possessing illegal arms connected to the serial blasts in 1993 can walk around a free man for an entire month. Sanjay Dutt had begun serving his jail sentence on July 31 but three weeks later the court granted him bail.

Dutt�s lawyer Karan Singh says a judgment copy which was to be served initially on Thursday is now expected only by the end of October. According to officials at the court the first few judgment copies would arrive by October 15 and if the judgment is carried out, Sanjay Dutt is expected to head back to the Yerawada Jail in Pune.

Sanjay Dutt aka Munnabhai was among the 100 accused that were found to be guilty by the courts that also sentenced several others with varying degrees of punishments.
