Rajini, Shankar team up again

Post-Sivaji there has been lots of speculation about Superstar's next film. The only official updates have been about Soundarya's animation film, Sultan.

It was rumoured that Rajinikanth would do his next film with Mani Ratnam. Murugadoss and Raghava Lawrence were also supposed to have signed projects with the Superstar. But nothing has been officially confirmed.

The rumour mills are now churning out that Shankar might make his sci-fi magnum opus Robot with Rajinikanth. There is also news that he may sign Amitabh Bachchan too for the film. It may be recalled that the two stars have worked together earlier in films like Andha Kanoon and Hum.

Shankar had earlier planned to make Robot with Shah Rukh Khan. When SRK opted out, it was said that Ajith might do the film. There was also news that Aamir Khan has shown interest in the project.

With so many aspirants, only time will tell who takes up this scientific venture. More theories, anyone!
