Priyamani turns glamourous!

Priyamani had set high standards for herself after getting accolades for her de-glam act in films like Athu Oru Kana Kalam and more recently the village girl in Paruthiveeran.

And now this Malayalee born Bangalore based girl has gone for a complete makeover in her latest film Malai Kottai. Priya does not want to be typecast as the village belle a la Muthazhagu, her character in Paruthiveeran. She wants to break into the big glam league in Tamil cinema and wants to take on the Asin�s and Trisha�s.

Says Priya Mani: �Having proved that I can act and also deliver a super hit; now I need a change of image. And it just happened that this role in Malai Kottai fell into my lap. It is a pucca commercial potboiler and I play the role of a college student clad in Pavadai Dhavani throughout. But in songs, I have tried to be as glamorous as possible�.

Priya adds that after seeing the rushes, she got a call from director Bhoopathy Pandian who told her that �Priya , you look awesome in the film especially the songs and trust me-you are the next glam girl of Kollywood�. In Telugu, her Toss released last Friday and films like Yamadonga with NTR and Mitrudu with Tarun is getting ready.
