Priyadarshan, M.T Vasudevan Nair team up

Priyadarshan, the most renowned director in present day Bollywood will return to Malayalam! By the end of 2008 he plans to direct a film in the scripts of M.T Vasudevan Nair. The film will feature his favorite actor Mohanlal in the lead. Other details of the film are yet to be finalized.

Meanwhile Priyadarshan is basking in the glory of creation of another mega hit in Bollywood, 'Bhool Bhulaiyya'. The film features Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja and Vidya Balan. The film have taken the best opening in 2007 amassing around 30 crores in its 15 day run, from across the globe!

Even though Priyadarshan has been among super hits for the last three years, the director is now in the final stages of producing his first offbeat venture 'Kanchipuram' which will be free of any commercial ingredients.

Featuring Prakash Raj in the lead which speaks which about the weavers of Kanchipuram set in the period between 1942 and 1957. The dubbing of the film was completed this week.

The film will have plenty of visuals for die hard serious viewers to enjoy. After this film Priyadarshan will start his new film 'Mera Baap Pahala Aap', again with Akshaye Khanna and Ompuri.

After 'Mera Baap Pahala Aap', he will do an Amitabh Bachchan starrer for Percept Pictures.
