Prithviraj's new heroine

'Parijatam' is going to be a monumental film for Prithviraj because it is going to be directed by one of the best directors in India- K Bhagyaraj. After completing shooting for more than 15 days in Hyderabad, the director conducted a formal 'meet-the-press' ceremony in Chennai.

The director said, 'Many say that I'm making this film for the sole purpose of launching my daughter Sharanya. That is not true. She didn't even tell us that she wanted to act. But one day she did and we were surprised. Coincidentally I was planning to make a film and Sharanya suited the role.'

About Prithviraj- 'He wasn't my choice. My wife Poornima had recommended him. I told the producer Thaenappan about this young actor and we saw the film 'Kanaa Kandaen'. We thought he might have problems with the language. But, he impressed us all. After a long time, Tamil film industry is going to have a good-looking hero.'

Prakashraj, Seetha and Roja are also going to act in the film.
