Prithviraj as auto driver

The shooting of Kangaroo, directed by Raj Babu began with a song scene of Prithvirj, Harisree Ashokan, Kalabhavan Prachod, Indrans and Prashant, who came first in the super dance programme. The shooting is taking place in Theekoyi Ullanadu near Erettupetta and Pala.

Prithviraj is on cloud nine after the success of his film Chocolate, released during Ramzan. He reached the sets of Kangaroo from Madhupal's Thalappavu. In both the films, he performs Christian characters.

In Kangaroo, he plays Josekutty of Palakunnel family, a graduate and youngest of the two. The burden of his family is on his shoulders as his elder brother is mentally unstable.

The family is on the verge of suicide due to financial difficulties. In order to get some relief, Josekutty becomes an auto driver and has a gang of friends consisting of Manmadhan, Chellappan, Prashanth etc.

It was a day of celebration for the group as Josekutty's marriage has been fixed. The song choreographed by Rekha is filmed by Salu George.

The film has Kavya Madhavan and Kaveri as heroines. Other casts include Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex, Salim Kumar, Harishree Ashokan, Bindu Panicker, KPAC Lalitha and many others. The film has script by J Pallasseri.
