Prithiviraj dons uniform again

Prithviraj is probably the only young actor in Malayalam who has donned the police uniform on screen with great rapidity. Kunchacko Boban , Jaisurya and Dilip the other young actors have never played a cop on screen and such roles are reserved for the senior heroes like Mammootty, Mohanlal and SureshGopi. Even a senior hero like Jayram has done very few roles of a cop. The directors look for a physical grandeur of the actor to play a cop. However Prithiviraj with just three years in the industry is on to doing his third cop role.

His first was Sathyam as a police inspector but it was a bomb at the box office. Next was The Police which again was a bomb. The critics however put the blame on the script and not on the actor. Now director Padmakumar has cast Prithiviraj in Khakee as the cop. The director had earlier directed Ammakilikoodu, a film about old age homes. Music by Sriram the film has Jagathy and Lalu Alex in important roles. The film is produced under the banner of G films.
