Prasanth enters wedlock

Popular Tamil film hero, Prasanth got married to Grahalakshmi, daughter of a city-based businessman, on Thursday morning, with many artistes turning up to bless the newly-wed couple.

The young hero, who had acted in nearly 50 films in the past nearly a decade, became famous with his double role in Jeans, opposite Aishwarya Rai. Many songs of this film were shot abroad.

Prasanth, son of yesteryear hero, Thyagarajan, made his debut as actor in the film Vaikasi Puranthachhu in 1992. Some of his other films included Semparuthi, Winner and London.

The engagement took place three months ago in the city.

Malaysian Minister, Datto Samivellu, his wife, Indrani, comedian of yesteryear and Editor of Tamil weekly, Thuglak, Cho Ramaswamy, industrialists like M A M Ramasamy and A C Muthiah, renowned director, Mani Rathnam and his actress wife, Suhasini, Vijaykanth, among others, attended the wedding.

Prasanth and his father had last week called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, inviting her for the marriage.
