Pongal releases have same plot?

There are far too many similarities between Ajit's Paramasivan and Vijay's Aathi and the buzz is that they have similar stories! Paramasivan director P.Vasu is well known for lifting plots and scenes from other directors.

Remember that after initial strong denials, it was found that his Chandramukhi was nothing but a pale imitation of Fazil's Manichitrathazhu! Now the big question being asked in the industry is- From where is Paramasivan inspired from?

The rumours are that it is a mixture of a Sanjay Dutt�s Bollywood film and a Telugu masala film. At the same time Aathi is an official remake of the Telugu Anthanokkade. The story line of both is suspiciously similar with a larger-than-life hero on a revenge spree to avenge the brutal murder of his loved one's.

In Aathi there is only one villain, Sai Kumar while in Paramasivan there are three bad guys ,all new faces! In Aathi Vijay comes to town seeking revenge ,while in Paramasivan, the Hindi film is the inspiration of a guy condemned to the gallows telling his story as a flash- back.

If Ajit has a car chase in his film, Vijay is doing a motor-bike chase, Prakash Raj plays a cop in both the movies! The other common factors are Vidyasagar and Vivek who is staging a come back by acting with superstars. To make it even more bizzare, both are releasing on the same day.
