Padmapriya with Kavya Madhavan!

Both the leading actresses of Malayalam cinema are going to unite for the first time in a very impressive film.

A while ago, Adoor Gopalakrishnan seriously began his plans of making a new film. Coincidentally, that was also the time when Mohanlal was seen very frequently with him. This started stories that the acclaimed director and the acclaimed actor were going to work together. Soon afterwards, announcements to that effect also started to make the rounds.

But, Adoor surprised everybody by declaring that he was not making any film with Mohanlal.

When he began to read out the cast-list, it had a bigger surprise.

An intense rivalry is on between Kavya Madhavan and Padmapriya for the No1 heroine position in Malayalam. As of now, Kavya only has a thin lead.

For the first time, they are going to star together in Adoor's new film.'Moonnu Pennungal' is the name of the film. Obviously that means that there is another heroine too- Nandita Das.

Manoj K Jayan, Jagathy and Mukesh form the rest of the cast.
