Padmapriya slapped by director

The incident happened in a village on the outskirts of Madurai in the presence of the entire unit and public who were watching the shoot. This incident has created shockwaves and Padmapriya has launched a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam who has put a ban on the shoot of the film. The actress held a press meet today morning (Oct 13).

Said Padmapriya: "It was harassment at workplace. For no fault of mine, Samy flared up and slapped me". Earlier Samy had told the press that Padmapriya is a bad actress and she has been giving him a hard time over her dates. Adds Padmapriya "It was a big mistake in my life having agreed to do Mirugam for which I had given 68 days call sheet. Which actress will give such bulk dates?"

And on the sets, Samy was said to be very abusive after every shot. Priya says: "He made it a point to hurl abuses at me over the director�s mike. I think the man is a psycho. It is my mistake that I did not check his credentials before I signed the film. During the shoot, Samy also wanted me to expose more than what was in the script and insisted that I wear dark make-up in the second half of the film." Samy had earlier got into trouble with his heroines. Remember that actress Sangeeta had a tough time during the making of his last film Uyir.

And now the latest news is that Samy has also lodged a complaint against Padmapriya at the Nadigar Sangam stating that Padmapriya is a moody person who has terrible personal problems. Samy has threatened to go on a hunger strike till the ban on shoot is taken off!
