Now Urmila turns to T.V

After stars like Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor more recently, it's the turn of Urmila Matondkar to turn to television. The actress has been roped in by Sahara to judge their talent hunt show, Superstars. It is originally a foreign show. However, it has been adapted to suit Indian sensibilities.

Urmila was really impressed by the original format and so she gave a go-ahead. Apparently, she had been getting offers to judge shows earlier. However, nothing really appealed to her. She liked the concept of Superstars since it encourages new talent. She recently appeared as a guest judge on Sony's dance show, Boogie Woogie.

Superstars will have two permanent judges and one variable judge. Apart from Urmila, the other permanent judge is Shiamak Davar. The third judge will keep changing every week. This show will start in September. Apart from the show, Urmila has the film Bas Ek Pal, lined up for release at the end of the month.
