Namitha `No` to item numbers!

Namitha, the oomph girl of Tamil cinema has politely refused an offer from Silambarasan and producer Thenappan to do a special appearance and item song in their much hyped film Vallavan.

It seems Simbu had met Namitha and given a narration of her cameo appearance as a sexy teacher who creates a stir the first day she joins the school. It is similar to what Sushmitha Sen had done in Shahrukh Khan�s Main Hoon Na. But after being highly impressed with this cute role including a song, Namitha changed her mind as she does not want to do an �Item appearance� right now!

As a matter of fact, Namitha has been refusing to do one song appearance with top stars including Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna in Telugu. She feels that her career is on the upswing and it would be suicidal for her to do item numbers and be branded as an �item girl� though she does not rule out doing it later.

Nami is currently in Bangalore completing her first Kannada film and then she will join the second schedule of the Hollywood film Maya in which she plays the title role.
