Mulla starts at Palani

The shooting of Lal Jose's new film Mulla with Dileep in the lead role has started at Palani in Tamil Nadu. This team has given many hits earlier and we expect this film also to be a hit.

This time Lal Jose is introducing a new female Meera Nandan, a plus two student in Kochi, and an anchor of Idea Star Singer in Asianet. She enacts the role of Latchi a lively girl who works in a bakery.

Another important character is Vasanthi, a gypsy girl who goes around singing songs in trains. For that Lalu has found a girl from Mumbai Sruthi Menon, a dusky beauty. The other new face is Reena Basheer, who plays the role of Malathy, the wife of a dada in a colony. Reena Basheer was one of the contestants of Vanitha Ratnam aired in Amrita TV.

The story takes place against the background of a train and a slum colony, near the railway station.The others in the cast are Innocent, Salim Kumar, Riza Bava, Binish Kodiyeri, Anoop Chandran, Sukumari and many others.

Sindhuraj has written the story. Camera is by Vipin Mohan and for the first time Vaylar Sarathchandra Varma is being teamed up with Vidyasagar.

The film is produced by Sagar Sherif and Sounder Raj under the banner of Sagar Balaji Creations. The film is slated to release on April 3.
