Mohanlal not in �Shivaji�
Mohanlal-AVM negotiations have fizzled out and the Malayalam superstar has decided not to do Shankar�s magnum opus Sivaji!
The bone of contention between AVM and Mohanlal was over the actor�s salary. In fact Mohanlal had told his friends before leaving for US on a holiday that he is �excited about the role in Sivaji which has shades of grey�.
Mohanlal is Malayalam cinema�s highest paid actor who gets a salary of Rs 75 Lakhs and he demanded Rs 2 Crore to do Sivaji. But it seems AVM was willing to cough up only Rs One crore!
The trouble that AVM is facing is that the market believes that Sivaji will be sold for Rs 50 Crore upwards, and so everyone from a light boy to a senior artist is demanding double their salary!
However, Mohanlal backing out of Sivaji is a big miss as his combination with Rajnikanth would have been a terrific as both are Style mannans! Now the big question is who will replace Mohanlal?
