Mohanlal bags Ujala-Asianet Film award

Mohanlal was selected as best actor for this year's Ujala-Asianet film award, while Malayalam film 'Classmates' bagged the prize for best film.

Mohanlal got the award for 'Keerthicharka', while Padmapriya was adjudged best actress for her role in 'Karuthpakshikal', 'Vadakkumnathan'.

Major Ravi who directed 'Keethicharka' got the best director award.

Well-known film producer, Sobhana Parameshwaran Nair, has been selected for 'Life time achievement award'.

The awards were announced by Asianet Managing Director, D K Madhavan, at a press conference here on Saturday.

The awards would be presented at a function to be held here on January 28, he said.
