Mayavi sequel announced

Director Shafi is on a spree to make sequels these days. He has now announced his plans of making a sequel to one of the biggest hits of 2007, 'Mayavi' starring Mammootty and Gopika.

Shafi is easily one of the leading directors in Malayalam right now. Hew as the director of the biggest hit of the year 2007, 'Chocolate'.

Soon after the box office results of 'Chocolate' began to arrive, he was so impressed that he announced his plans of making a sequel to it. He also said that the story was going to be about a girl student who ends up studying in a men's college. The director however failed to give any concrete information on when he was going to launch the film.

Now, he has come up with a new plan of making a sequel to 'Mayavi' too! Rafi Mecartin are going to write the story and screenplay. Shooting of this film will most likely commence before 'Chocolate 2' begins.
