Mass becomes Aadi
The title of Mass, which is being produced by Vijay�s dad, producer S.A.Chandraekhar has now been changed. Fearing the wrath of Tamil chauvinists, it will now be called Aadi the name of the character that Vijay plays in the film.
This film is a remake of the big Telugu hit of the year Anthanokkade and has Trisha, Vijay�s �lucky mascot� as the heroine. The film is directed by Ramana who last did Vijay�s Tirumalai and has music by Vidyasagar.
In fact Vijay had to pay a huge amount to Telugu star Dr Rajsekhar who was holding the title Aadi in Tamil. Added to that, the villain in the film has equal footage as the hero as it is a powerful role. Vijay has been able to rope in Sai Kumar the Kannada hero to make his debut in Tamil for this role.
Aadi will now start rolling from August 22 in Chennai. It will be Vijay�s Pongal 2006 release.
