Mankatha progressing in Chennai
Director Venkat Prabhu is quite upset about rumours that the shoot for Mankatha has been stalled due to financial constraints. The director has also confirmed that work on Thala Ajith's 50th film is on full swing.
The crew completed its first schedule in Bangkok recently and is currently erecting a set in Chennai which looks like Dharavi in Mumbai. Another interesting fact is that one of Mahakavi Bharathiyar's great grandsons, Niranjan Bharathi, has penned lyrics for the album of Mankatha along with Vaali and Venkat Prabhu's father Gangai Amaran.
The audio launch is likely to be in March and the film is expected to hit screens on May 1, 2011.
