Mamta says �No� to Telugu!

Most actresses from Malayalam shift to Tamil films because the money is very good. If there is one industry that pays even better than the Tamil film industry, it is Tollywood. This is one of the reasons why most actresses who went from Malayalam to Tamil have now shifted base to Telugu.

So, when Mamta Mohandas decided to make her debut in Tamil, many expected that she�d soon be seen in Telugu too. Mamta had appeared in a very glamorous role in �Lanka�. People here thought that she�d continue her glamorous performance in Tamil too. But, Mamta caught everybody by surprise.

Mamta Mohandas had recently come down to Kerala to appear in an ad for Allukas Jewelers. During an interview to the media, she said that her role in the Tamil film �Sivapadhikaaram� isn�t glamorous. In fact, she is playing the role of a village belle!

She added that she is looking for roles that give her a scope to act and to be glamorous. And about switching to Telugu, Mamta said that she has no plans right now. For the time being she�s going to concentrate solely on Tamil.
