Mammootty's 'Mayaavi' begins

Mammootty plays Mahi IAS alias Mayaavi in Shafi's latest film titled Mayaavi is produced by P Rajan under the banner of Vaishak Movies.

A handsome guy dressed in jeans and shirt, he is Mayaavi. The IAS next to Mahi stands for Irutti Adi Service.

Mammootty's last film with Shafi was Thommanum Makkalum but the actor is working with Rafi Mecartin's script for the first time. The shooting of the film began on November 10 in Kochi. The actor joined the sets on November 25 after completing Blessy's Palunku. Some jail scenes would be shot first.

Mayaavi fights against injustice wherever he sees it, but never takes credit for all the superhuman efforts he makes. He likes to keep it a secret but hits out at the baddies in the darkness. Everybody tried to find out the man behind the superhuman efforts and among them was Mayaavi also.

Gopika plays heroine in the film. The film also has Sai Kumar, Manoj K Jayan, Vijaya Raghavan, Anand, Jagathy, Keerikadan Jose, Spadikam George, KPAC Lalitha and many others.

Songs penned by Vayalar Sharatchandra Varma has music by Alex Paul. Sanjeev Shankar wields camera for the film.
