Mammootty change his track
After starring in Raapakal, Mammootty had made a conscious decision to stay away from family-based tales for some time, but it is believed that the recent failure of Prajapathi has made the superstar change his decision.
He was planning to start working with director Kamal in the month of December. But he has now preponed the film. In the Kamal film, Mammootty is going to play the role of a Tamil daily-wages worker. Padmapriya is his heroine in the film. She was the heroine of his previous superhit Rajamanikyam.
Mammootty was initially planning to complete director Joshis Pothanvaava. But, it now looks as if this film is going to be released only after he completes his project with Kamal. His decision to play down-to-earth characters is probably inspired by the series of success that Mohanlal is having these days with his reality-based films.
