Mahabharat comes to screen again
'Anniyan' was in the news for its big budget of Rs 35 Crores. Now, Bollywood is planning to make a film that is going to be almost ten times as expensive as 'Anniyan' was.
Inspired by Hollywood's obsession with epics, Bollywood too is getting ready to make a film based on 'Mahabharat', India's ancient epic that still looks extremely contemporary.
The present Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan is going to play the lead role in this film. There are plans to use lot of technical wizardry to suit the story. Amir Khan too is going to play an important role. Rani Mukherjee is likely to be the heroine. The cast is not going to stop with these stars alone. Many leading stars are also going to feature in the film
Compared to Mahabharat, 'Anniyan''s budget now looks like that of a stage-play.
