Laya opposite Mohanlal!

Mohanlal�s heroine in Bhadran�s Udayon is the Telugu girl Laya. According to the grapevine they hit off very well at the Pollachi shoot of the film. Everybody knows that Mohanlal has a way with his heroines. He constantly encourages them to perform better on screen. In fact, Nayantara should be eternally grateful to Mohanlal for spotting her early in her career and making a star out of her!

Remember that Meena who was abandoned by the Tamil film industry was picked up and encouraged by Mohanlal who has given her two memorable films Udayananu Tharam and Chandrolsavam. Today, she is touted as Malayalam cinema�s number one heroine.

So will Laya make it to the top? At the moment, all that Laya says that �it is great learning experience to work with Lal sir, one of the finest actors in the country�. Already her Thommanum Makkalum is a runaway super hit and with the release of Udayon she may emerge as the new number one.
