Kana Kandein limping!

K.V.Anand�s Kana Kandein is getting rave reviews and appreciation among public but the film has fallen badly at the box-office after a promising opening weekend.

The film had opened to 85 percent collections in its first three days at Woodlands theatre in Chennai but subsequently crashed to 45 percent during weekdays. In Coimbatore, the film opened to 72 percent at Archana but could manage only 38 percent from Monday.

Producer P.L.Thenappan had sold the film at MG and covered his cost of production but distributors will stand to lose money. Kana Kandein will be a loser as there are no takers for the film in B and C centres.

The trade is shocked as the film was touted to be a sleeper hit due to good word-of-mouth and now they put the blame on the producer for not promoting the film in a big way. They say that Thenappan was busy with his next film Vallavan and its costly steamy posters, than giving ample publicity to Kana Kandein.
