Hrithik Roshan honoured at IFFI

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and his father director Rakesh Roshan came in for glowing compliments during the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Panaji for their contributions to mainstream cinema.

IFFI's organisers rolled out the red carpet Krrish at the festival, and the Goa Government conferred a special award on Rakesh Roshan for his contribution to films.

"We are honoured to have the Roshan family here. I have watched their films and enjoyed them very much. Hrithik is the new superhero who is hugely popular with the younger generation," Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane said.

Speaking on the occasion, Hrithik, who was presented a memento, paid glowing tributes to his father, saying the secret of his success as a superhero in his latest movie was that he was "raised by a superhero".

"People ask me what is the secret of my success as a superhero, but it is not difficult because I have been raised by a man who is the most persevering and hard working man on this earth. I have been raised by a true superhero," Hrithik said to loud cheers from the crowd.
