Dubai show postponed?

The much talked about Dubai and Abu Dhabi �Star Show� to be conducted by Tamil film stars led by Nadigar Sangam on May 19 and 20 is likely to be postponed.

Its chief, Vijaykanth was to head a 45-member team and perform live stage shows in Dubai and Abu-Dhabi to raise funds to construct a five storied building for the organization. The reason for the postponement is not clear but the inside sources say that it is due to lack of interest and cooperation among the leading stars.

Most of the top actors are away on holiday and they are not interested to do the show for free! Added to that an organization claiming to be protectors of Srilankan Tamils have sprung up in UAE which has been sending e-mails and faxes to boycott the event.

Their argument is that, it is not worth spending money from their pocket for the construction of a building when the stars themselves are getting Lakhs as salary from films! The majority of the audience comprise of Sriklankan Tamils who are peeved that our stars never bothered to visit or raise funds for Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.
