Dileep lounches 'Kochi Rajavu'

Dileep will start playing the role of a businessman in Alappuzha from now on. Following in the footsteps of actor Jayaram and director Fazil, Dileep on Friday launched a houseboat �Kochi Rajavu�, the only houseboat in Alappuzha which has a �nalukettu�, at the Rajiv Gandhi Jetty here. The function marking the launch of the houseboat designed by the Pulickattil group was inaugurated by Tourism Minister K.C.Venugopal in the presence of Dileep�s wife Manju Warrier, his family members, film personalities and well-wishers.

Alappuzha municipal chairman P.P.Chitharanjan, film directors Fazil and Joshi were also present.

While addressing a news conference earlier, Dileep said that it was due to a misunderstanding on the part of film director Vinayan that the latter had criticised him for the row related to the film �Boyfriend�.

The same is the case with the AMMA-Thilakan row. He said that he is of the opinion that as an actor, nobody can deny roles to Thilakan which naturally come to him. But sometimes, film personalities get into the trap of the media and overstep their limit.

Asked about the special jury award he bagged for his performance in �Chanthupottu�, he said he is satisfied with the judgment of the jury. But the jury members� decision is solely their opinion and the people have overwhelmingly received his character Radhakrishnan in the film.
