Chandramukhi completed 600 days

Super Star Rajinikant has created records of sorts in Tamilnadu with his block buster 'Chandramukhi'. Shanti Theatre in Chennai where this film opened on 14th April 2005. Still going strong after completing 600 days of screening of this film. The theatre director Venu Gopalan expressed his excitement of creating record which he or anybody never expected. Presently the film is screened in the noon show with 50 percent collection which is astounding. 600 days achievement is being celebrated at Nehru Studios giving due credit to the viewers who relish the film even now said the director.

'Manichithratazhu' was the original Malayalam film from which the Tamil hit film 'Chandramukhi' was made. Later this was dubbed in Telugu known to all which also peaked. Tollywood Heroine Soundarya played the role of Chandramukhi in Kannada remake where as Shobana donned the role in the original Malayalam film. Presently this is being made in Hindi with Vidya Balan doing the all important role of Chandramukhi.
