Case against �Chandramukhi� goes to High Court

"The story was not published before. According to Copyright laws, the film�s producer is also treated as the author of the story. Madhu Muttom has given in writing, the rights to remake this story in all the languages to Fazil. Madhu Muttom has not filed any complaint about violation of his rights"

For the above reasons, the Additional District Judge of Ernakulam had dismissed the case against Shivaji Productions and the makers of �Chandramukhi�.

But Madhu Muttom is not going to quit either. He has now filed an appeal with Kerala High Court. He contends that Fazil has the right to remake the story for only five years. The rights have expired and as the author of the story, the rights revert to him.

�Manichitrathaaz� had made Crores at the box office but Madhu Muttom was paid a mere Rs 30,000. "I�m still not fighting about the money. I�m happy with it. I�m only interested in getting recognized for my work," Madhu said.
