Big demand for 'Bheema' rights

'Anniyan' made better collections in Kerala and its Telugu version was a bigger hit in Andhra Pradesh than the film was in Tamilnadu.

'Bheema' is Vikram's new bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. The film is likely to hit the theatres in January next year and a huge demand is now on to buy the distribution rights in Kerala. The Malayalam distributors are convinced that the Vikram - Trisha starrer, directed by Linguswamy, will be a blockbuster in terms of collections.

And that's the reason why competition is now on to buy the rights.

Most of these distributors were also ready to pay ridiculously high prices for 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' with Surya and Jyothika because they thought that AR Rahman's music and the Surya-Jyothika marriage will create lot of audience curiosity and will make the film a huge hit at the box office. The music was a hit and the couple is living happily now. But the film flopped.
