Bhavana removed from 'Naan Kadavul'

This was bound to happen sooner or later. Director Bala, famous for his hit films like 'Sethu' and 'Pitamagan', has announced that he is seriously thinking about removing Bhavana from his new film 'Naan Kadavul'.

When Bhavana was offered the film, she was genuinely happy because she was going to work with an acclaimed director like Bala. Many wondered if it was a good idea because the director is known for his notoriously slow pace of film making and his insistence that his stars shouldn't work with anybody else until the film gets completed.

This time around too, the film kept running into one trouble after the other. There were clashes between the director and its producer because the former was going way over the budget and was refusing to even let the producer know how far the film had progressed. The producer walked out.

Bhavana did two brilliant things when she accepted the film-

She made sure that she was not bound by any exclusivity contract and she refused point-blank to extend her callsheets if the director failed to complete the work on time.

This didn't go well with the director and he, it seems, is very keen on bringing in someone else to play the heroine role.

The role sure is brilliant, but a handful of above-average films are always better than one brilliant film that would take years to complete.
