Asin sips Mirinda!

Asin is the new Mirinda girl! Pepsi Co India Limited has signed her up as brand ambassador south for the orange drink.

Asin�s gain is Vivek�s loss as she replaces the comedy actor. The market buzz is that Pepsi Co wanted to reposition Mirinda from a fun drink to a youth orange drink and take on the market leaders Fanta, which controls the soft drink orange segment in south.

Asin had just completed a photo-session at Venkat�s studio in Chennai for Mirinda and will be doing the video shoot sometime later in the month.

Asin told Moviebuzz: � I am getting so many endorsement offers but is carefully picking and choosing the products that I endorse with utmost care. Actually even Fanta had approached me but I preferred to be Mirinda�s brand ambassador as it is my personal favourite�.

This summer the Coke Vs Pepsi battle seems to be interesting as it is basically an Asin Vs Trisha shoot-out, as the winner takes the youth market.
