A colorful celebration for 'Sandakozhi'

The scene of the 'Sandakozhi' celebrations was like a rainbow in a clear blue sky. That's because of the dream girls of Tamil cinema were present!

After a long gap from 'Chellame,' Vishal acted as hero in 'Sandakozhi' produced by his father GK Reddy and brother Vikram Krishna and directed by Lingusamy. During the audio release of the film some months back, the VIPs present conferred their good wishes that the film should run a 100 days and more. The film has run for more than 200 days and filled the theatre coffers!

To celebrate 210 days of 'Sandakozhi,' a gala celebration was organized at Le Meridien in Chennai. Though the venue was big, the crowd resembled a crowd during Kaanum Pongal on the Marina beach; there were that many stars present!

The film stars and crew were given mementoes and this was interspersed with congratulatory messages from the guests. "Usually one gets honey from the forest. But the songs of 'Sandakozhi' is as sweet as honey to the ears," said Parthiban in his usual poetic way.

When Namitha went on the dais, all cameras and glances were directed at the pretty picture she made. She spoke in her quaint Tamil and her efforts were lauded by the audience!

Director Lingusamy spoke about all the difficulties they had encountered during the making of the film. And the viewers let their eyes roam over the galaxy of beauties present! The film's heroine Reema Sen, Trisha, Sneha, Khushboo, Sandhya, Tejasri, Namitha, Mamta and many other gorgeous dream girls were a feast to the eyes. Leading heroes were also present in good number.
