Vijay in Athanokkade remake
Vijay seems to have hit upon a success formula. Remakes prove to be a sure shot hit for Vijay. His earlier remake of Mahesh Babu�s Telugu block buster Okkadu into Ghillli in Tamil was a runaway hit of 2004 which took Vijay to Numero Uno position.
Now it is Kalyan Ram�s Telugu super hit Athanokkade which has fascinated Vijay. Telugu film financier Singanamala Ramesh has paid a whopping amount of Rs 65 lakhs to buy the Tamil remake rights of Athanokkade. This film would soon be made in Tamil by Ramesh with Vijay as hero. After Sivakasi, Vijay would be starting this project.
Meanwhile, Kalyan Ram was happy with the stupendous success of Athanokkade since the film has turned out be a bigger hit than expected.
