Mohanlal- Mammootty clash for Onam
After Mampazhakalam, Joshi- Mohanlal team up again in Thapana. The film has script by Rajan Pramod who wrote for films like Meesa Madhvan, Manasinakkare and Achuvinte Amma. Mohanlal comes in a very different character. Chaya Singh, the Thiruda Thirudi girl who acted in Mullvelliyum Theyanmavum, the Malayalam film is to play the female.
The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor. This film will be pitted against Mammootty's film directed by Renjith. Both the films are scheduled for Onam release. Renjith- Mammootty combo delivered a hit with Black. Rahman who acted in Black as a police officer will come as a villain.
