Suresh Gopi�s Lanka is touted to be a film which will give him an all new image. It is writer A.K.Sajan�s debut film as director and is based on LTTE terrorists and the human bomb culture.
Mamta Mohandas is Suresh�s heroine and the film has Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Rajan.P.Dev and others in supporting cast. Lanka is a racy thriller and Gopi plays Sravan, a womanizer and anti-hero and the film was shot in Colombo, Malpe beaches near Udupi in Mangalore. Lanka Lakshmi (Mamta) enters his life and it�s a torrid love affair till one day the unexpected happens. Lanka is also a violent love story.
Says Suresh Gopi: �In my younger days I never got a chance to do romantic roles like in . I was always branded as an action hero and you will see that my body language has changed drastically in this film as Sravan who is a Casanova�. Shaji is the cameraman and the film has music by Sreenivas and Rajesh Jayamohan with lyrics written by BR Prasad
