Bhadran striking again.........

Director Bhadran's latest film, which is on floor, is VELLITHIRA. This film stars Prithviraj. Produced by R Mohan under the banner of 'Slok films', this film is a promising one to Prithviraj, as it could give him a change of image. Critics say that if this film performs well at the box-office, then Prithviraj could be the most vaunted action hero in Malayalam cinema.

It's a village, which has hardly seen any sophistication. Raj (Prithviraj) comes to this village along with his two friends. To make a living these three get a mobile projector with them and start a touring talkie. They start of business by showing Rajnikanth's Pulikodu Valiban. It becomes a hit among the villagers. They start identifying Raj as 'style Raj'. The projector runs on the power from Nair's (Oduvil Unnikrishnan) rice mill. Pankajam (Kalpana) who happens to be Nair's daughter falls in love with Raj.

Raj though not in love, does not stop Kalpana. Reason being that he wants uninterrupted power supply for his shows. But on the other hand, Raj loses his heart to Thatha (Navya Nair), a blacksmith (Kalabhavan Mani) sister. Amidst all this Raj has a dark past of which no one knows. VELLITHIRA has music by Alphonse and the Shankar Mahadevan. S Kumar handles camera. The film also has Kavya Madhavan, Bindu Panikkar, Sudhish, Cochin Haneefa, Salim Kumar and Innocent in the cast.

The film, which opened on June 19, had a decent opening and is now going steady. The feed back from the audience was that the climax was long-winded and confusing. So seven minutes of the climax has been chopped to make it smooth.
