CHILDHOOD
Shilpa Shetty laughs a lot when she was young. She still laughs most of the time. According to Shilpa's mother (Sunanda), Shilpa was a naughty child and was called a "fightercock" as she mostly fought with her younger sister (Shamita). Her mom also acknowledges that she was a very bubbly and vivacious child and her pet name is "Manya" but her mom calls her "babucha" or "Honeybunch". Shilpa went to school at St. Anthony's Girl's convent in Chembur then she went to Podar College.
More About Shilpa
Shilpa has a great sence of humor and has the capacity to crack jokes on her self. She'll start laughing even before you crack a joke. Shilpa dreams of working in films with Tom Cruise and Jackie Chan. Before you smirk and say Na Na Na Na Nare Nare Nare... please understand that Daler Mehendi is one of her closest friends. So no sardar jokes with her but Bolo Tara Ra Ra instead. Shilpa's method of spending a holiday would be wake up late, cook, watch movies, work out and spend time with her family. Shilpa is also a huge fan of prints, especially Tiger and Leopard prints. Her room is feild with all the different kind of prints. Even her pillow case.
ABOUT HER CLOTHES and DESIGNERS
Designer Statement MANISH MALHOTRA "Ah, she has got a body that looks as good in a six yard sari as in minis. What sets her apart is her confidence in herself and attitude. I wish she would wear more Indian clothes, she would look very good in them" (which she does these days)... In her own words Style statement "Tattoos! I love them, I think they are the coolest accessory. Sometime ago, Designer Anna Singh had done tattoos all over my body, and I think it looked pretty nice. Unfortunately, I can't have a permanent tattoo! I wear a lot of Anna Singh, Manish Malhotra, and Rajesh Pratap Singh. I like wearing Gowns and Saris on special occasions. When i'm relaxing at home, it's jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and kurta's for me."
Comments on MANISH MALHOTRA, RAJESH PRATAP SINGH, and ANNA SINGH
"Manish and Rajesh are such opposites. Manish'a clothes are soft and pastles and Rejesh's are in your face and funky. I like to wear shirts and jackets from Rajesh. From Manish, I like more ethnic outfits. As for Anna, I wear whatever she makes for me; she is not only a good friend but a fantastic designer. I love the jewellery that she designs."
