Ganesh (Junior Sivaji) is brought up by his sister Radhika (Roja) who sacrifices her marriage for the brother's sake. Equally for Ganesh, his sister is everything to him. Ganesh meets Shwetha (Sonia Agarwal) and they become friends. Radhika mistakes this for love and approaches Shwetha’s parents with their marriage proposal on the same day of Shwetha’s betrothal with another guy. Shwetha and her father humiliate Radhika. On hearing the humiliation to his sister Ganesh plans to revenge Shwetha. He boards the same train where Shwetha’s family was heading towards Chennai for her marriage and ties the mangalsutra on the sleeping girl. Only in the morning he is shocked to see that he has tied the thali to a stranger Maha (Nandana). The story takes a twist here. Maha’s wedding which was just round the corner comes to a stop. On hearing the whole episode Radhika persuades Ganesh to rectify the mistake he has committed and how Ganesh does forms the rest of the story.

Junior Sivaji, the third generation hero from Sivaji Ganesan’s family is introduced in the title as a transformation from Sivaji to Junior Sivaji using graphics. For a debutant, Junior Sivaji is good at action scenes and also appealing in dance sequences. As far as expressions are concerned, he has put in a lot of hard work. Sonia looks beautiful but there is not much scope for acting and one feels she has been wasted in this film after watching her performance in Kadhal Kondain. On the contrary Nandana, the debutant from Kerala has been given a powerful role, which she handles with ease. Urvasi and Roja are just adequate for their roles. Suresh Prasanna, the debutant director (an associate to R.C.Sakthi and Amir John) takes us on a nostalgic trip to old Sivaji films with his treatment of the subject. Screenplay also wavers which weakens the pace of the film. The film picks up after interval. Camera work is just average. Deva’s recycled music is just average. One of the songs reminds you of a song from ARR’s En Swasa Katre.
