Well, you all know the storyline from the promos and the film's title; you only got to watch the film to experience all the adventures. While one partner believes in love, the other doesn't. The two main protagonists Diya Malhotra (Aishwarya Rai) and Arjun Khanna (Vivek Oberoi) are thrust into the same world, forever one step away from each other, until destiny finally gives them a break.

Arjun plays a rich brat who goes bowling, racing, para jumping, partying, footballing and bantering. He has lost his money and tickets and must sell cold drinks on the train to make his way back from Coorg in Karnataka to Mumbai. Arjun doesn't believe in old-fashioned concepts like love. Diya on the other hand believes in love and falls in love with Arjun, only to get disappointed. Arjun (the vendor) befriends and banters with his repressed houseguest Diya. But he will only marry someone his parents choose for him. Though he falls in love, he doesn't realise - not at least till the end. Diya's uncle (played by Amitabh Bachchan) runs an orphanage. His character has nothing much to do with the plot. Amitabh's unbridled larkishness with his buzzwords like "Tango Charlie", "mind -blowing" are a sheer joy to watch on the screen. Suniel Shetty who's brought in as the third angle serves as another speed-breaker. Aishwarya in the film is a dreamy and a bit spaced out, her character is a perfect foil to the unstoppable Arjun who treats life as an ongoing prank. Om Puri, who plays Arjun's dad, has quite a few crisply written dialogues and moments.

Sameer Karnik who has written and directed Kyun! Ho Gaya Na has chosen a routine film rendered more aggravating by its incessant near-miss plot structure. The film is posh in presentation. The sets (by Sameer Chanda) shine in polished teak colours, while the outdoors is a refreshing sight. The choreography in "Pyar mein sau uljhane" number is captivating. Shankar Ehsaan Loy's music is inspired too. The camera work by Sudeep Chatterjee is appreciable. So, do you care enough to find how the "real chemistry couple" reach their inevitable destination on the "reel"? Kyun? Ho Gaya Na
