Will Dileep do it again, After the thundering success of Meeshamadhavan? The film lovers of Kerala are egarly waiting for his Knjikoonan, directed by Sasi Shankar under the banner of Supriya Films, which is getting ready. Nedumudi Venu, Spadikam George, Sashi Kumar, Machan Varghese, Narayanan Kutty, Navya Nair, Kaveri,Manka Mahesh & Adoor Pankajam are the faces of this film.

The story revolves round the character Kunjan, a handicaped orphan. He has no one to call his own, expect Aishumma, his neighbour and foster mother (Bindu Panikar). Kunjan is running an STD booth at the junction in the hill side village Ramagiri.Once, a stree circus group consisting of a father and his daughter Chempakam(Navya Nair) come to village. Chempakam is blind. When her father passes away quite unexpectedly , Chempakam is left all alone. When she is attacked by a Thug, Kunjan plays the saviour and takes her to Aishumma. There Chempakam experiences what real love is and now her only sorrow is that she cannot see the *benigh* world.

In the mean time , Kunjan's telephone booth is frequented by Lakshmi(Manya), the daughter of the local Circle Inspector of Police. She finds the booth as a safe place, away from the restrictions at home, to talk to her lover Prasad(Dileep), the son of a Police Constable.Prasad is very possessive and jealous in his love for the daughter of his father's senior officer. Their love upsets the life of Kunjan. One by one Kunjan's dreams are shattered.

The tragic sequence of the incident is interwoven with comic characters and moments. Adjacent to Kunjan's booth, there is a tea shop as well as St. Thomas Lights and Sound shop. Thomas(Cochin Haneefa) the owner of the Light and Sound shop which came to him as dowry. His total ignorance about electricity and its mechanism forces him to appoint Chandran(Salim Kumar) as his assistant. The lazy bones that Chandran is, he makes his employer do all the work instead. The threat of resignation is the tool that he uses to have his way.
