'Krrish 3’ is a science fiction movie produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan. The movie is released on 1st November. The movie had created a lot of buzz before its release as it is the third offering from the series of ‘Krrish’ movies. Studded with the star casts of Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi, the movie made its grand release backed by adequate promotional strategies.
‘Krrish 3’ was meant to be Hrithik show and he has not disappointed his fans. He is everywhere in the movie. Be it a romantic scene or a fighting scene or a funny scene or an emotional moment, he is always there. Papa Rakesh Roshan has nicely parceled his son to the audience.
‘Krrish 3’ is undoubtedly a superhero film. The movie has connected itself to the prequels. Here the superhero fights, saves lives, rescues kids and even saves a building from collapsing. But then he dances at the discs, he delivers long and emotionally loaded dialogues, he romances, dances and does everything which you won’t expect in a superhero movie. But Roshan Sr. has his logics. He knows his clientele. He knows that any Bollywood movie won’t be complete without a heavy tadka of masala entertainment. And so he has gone overboard with his masala elements so much so that the lead character from ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ who has now aged and is still as dexterous with superb dancing moves.
The terrain is fantastic, cinematography reveals opulence and the camera rolls perfectly. Everything is ok except the fact that the story lacks authenticity at times. Songs are just ok unlike Roshan’s trademark. Hrithik has looked superb in the character of a superhero with each muscle flexing and shining. His long hair does not support his otherwise chiseled appearance. He has delivered fantastic performance.
Priyanka was ok with whatever she got to do. Her role was obviously not an impactful one. Well, Kangana walked away with the cherry. She looked deadly and lethal in her avatar. Her acting earns ten on ten. Just that her song sequence with Hrithik was bizarre and totally abrupt.
Vivek was again good as Kaal. He developed a virus which was capable enough to destroy any city within minutes, and then his team developed an antidote. So that they could first spread the virus and as panic strikes he would offer antidotes for gold.
The movie is not as impactful as was hyped. But still it’s a decent watch.
