Dreams is not one of those usual run-of-the-mill movies where the heroine is introduced only as a prop and made to run around trees and display her assets rather than talent. The heroine in Dreams is shown to be a woman of substance and Meena gets the role of a lifetime in the film.

Shajoon Kariyal devises a most interesting screenplay wherein a girl seeks vengeance on those who she feels are responsible for the mysterious death of her lover. Abbas plays the lover boy and Meena is his fiancee. Rahman and Suresh Gopi are the two people close to Abbas. When Abbas dies in mysterious circumstances, Meena assumes that his two friends, who have harboured a secret crush on her, are behind it. To seek revenge, she starts wooing them so as to expose their involvement. However, she soon realizes that the truth is far from what she had imagined.

The central role played by Meena can simply be rated one of her best. It gives her ample scope to prove her histrionics, besides exuding oomph. For a change, the heroes -- Suresh Gopi, Rahman and Abbas -- have nothing much to do in this heroine oriented movie. But it’s a sure disappointment for Suresh Gopi fans who expect him to bash up a dozen guys in one go.
