Shaji Kailas quits Mohanlal film

When he had to choose between making his friend happy and not displeasing his colleague, director Shaji Kailas has chosen the latter. The incident happened on the sets of the new Mohanlal film.

Mohanlal is a bit desperate to do something to come up with a blockbuster hit. So, when it was suggested that he do a sequel to 'Irupathaam Noottandu', a big megahit, he was only too glad to accept the offer. Shaji Kailas was brought in. That is where the problems began.

It was K Madhu who had directed the film. He is a specialist in directing sequels. The 'CBI Diary' series is an excellent example.

Rumors say that when Madhu heard that the superstar has picked up Shaji Kailas to direct the sequel, he called the director up and had a conversation with him. It was after the conversation that Shaji Kailas decided to withdraw from the film.

Madhu is now the director of this film.
