Namitha replaces Malavika
After Malavika was ousted from the film Karthigai, Namitha have been booked to replace her. Already 75% of the scenes involving Malavika have been shot.
She had acted for about 17 days. But now the director has to cut the scenes involving Malavika and has to add them with Namitha acting.
The director has said that already the producer had spent about Rs 4.5 crores on this film. Since Malavika has refused to act, they have decided to file a defamatory case on her asking for compensation of Rs 75 lakhs.
